A history of environmental responsibility

Printing, and associated industries, have for many years been among the global leaders in environmental sustainability practices. By its very nature the industry world-wide is heavily reliant on the use of natural resources and chemicals. New Zealand has therefore benefited directly from the world-wide advances made in environmental sustainability and protection, through the development of recycled paper stocks, environmentally friendly chemicals and dealing with waste.

New markets

New Asian markets are offering very good prices and surprisingly efficient turn-around times. Some New Zealand companies are supporting these markets although they do not provide the same environmental sustainability assurances as more traditional or local markets.

There are printers using paper and materials imported from these markets in order to offer cheaper prices.

Doing our part

The Page Limited, along with minimising its own ecological footprint (we no longer travel into an inner-city office every day), is committed to spreading the messages of environmental sustainability and protection. To this end we select our suppliers and partners based on quality, price, suitability and service, and look on these associations as opportunities to further spread the environmental message where we see a need.

What is with them cows?

We know we have used cows on this web site. Be assured that they are only images of cows and will not emit nasty gasses.
